1. Worship – The ultimate intent of all things done by the body of Christ is to worship God. It is this purpose which takes priority over all other functions in the church, but not to their exclusion. (Psalm 146)
2. Teaching – The local church is responsible for the building up of itself in love by the presentation of God’s Word. God’s Word is the authority in all matters concerning life, faith, practice and preparation of God’s people for service. (Ephesians 4: 11-16 ; 2Timothy 3: 16)
3. Fellowship – Fellowship is expressing the common bond of life in the Holy Spirit. It is expressed through mutual caring for one another under the direction and authority of Jesus Christ. (1Thessalonians 5:11; Hebrews 10: 24-25)
4. Evangelism – The task of the local church and its individual members is to reach and disciple the lost, locally and around the world, with the message of salvation, offered by God, through Jesus Christ. (Matthew 28: 18-20; Acts 1:8)
We are here to worship and celebrate the glory of God and to enter a relationship with God and Jesus Christ, whom God has given to us to show us the way, the truth and the life, both now and forevermore. Our goal is to help you discover and grow in this relationship through teaching, building relationships, caring for one another and discovering your spiritual gifts. This way we all may be equipped to spread the good news of Jesus Christ and God’s love in our community and around the world.
If you know of someone who doesn’t have a Bible and would like to have one, please help yourself to any of the Bibles available at the table beside the Fireside Room.
