Lead Pastor Joshua & Sandra Goetz
Joshua’s Email: email@example.com
Joshua, Sandra, and their family arrived at Charlie Lake Community Church in March 2018. Both Joshua and Sandra grew up in Edmonton, Alberta. Joshua and Sandra married in July of 1995, and their family started to grow with the birth of Benjamin in 1999, just a couple of years later Nate was born in 2001, followed by Samuel in the fall of 2003. Not long after that in the summer of 2005, they welcomed their daughter Rebekah.
In 2000, Joshua followed God’s call to ministry, and he accepted a job as a youth worker at First Baptist Church in Ponoka, Alberta. A year and a half later the church extended a call for him to become the full-time Associate Pastor. The family stayed in Ponoka until October of 2006 when they accepted the call for Joshua to become the Senior Pastor at Asquith Baptist Church in Asquith, Saskatchewan. In late 2017 the family received a call for Joshua to become the new Lead Pastor here at Charlie Lake Community Church.
The Goetz family loves to travel, and if there is a baseball stadium nearby you will probably find them there. Our real love though is football, and all three Goetz boys have played High School football in Saskatchewan. Despite all those years in and around the Saskatchewan Roughrider faithful, the whole family is passionate Edmonton Eskimos fans. Rebekah loves to spend time with her friends, babysit, and to play basketball and gymnastics.
Joshua is an avid reader, loves to walk, and spend time with his rapidly growing up family. Sandra is the glue that keeps everything together, and her gift for administration and planning have been instrumental to Joshua in His ministry everywhere they have been.
Their passion in ministry is for God’s people to be drawn together in community. The church is much more than a building that is open one day a week. It is a community of people who go into our community day after day and witnesses for Jesus. Equipping and preparing the church through Scripture and prayer to be lights in this world.
Associate Pastor Jared & Natalie Braun
Jared’s Email: firstname.lastname@example.org
Jared & Natalie joined Charlie Lake Community Church as members in the spring of 2012. In February of 2013 Jared came on board as full time Associate Pastor. Jared grew up in Saskatchewan as child and then spent his teen years one half hour north of Fort St John in the farming community of Prespatou. Natalie was born and lived in Switzerland until she moved to Canada (Fort St John) in 2005. Shortly after she came, her and Jared met, fell in love and were married in February 2007. They have three children, Kayla, Elijah and Jeriah. Prior to joining Charlie Lake Church, the Braun’s served 6 years at SCA Blueberry Ministry Centre 45 minutes north of Fort St John then for 2 years Jared worked in Outside Sales for Northern Metalic, a local industrial supply company.
Jared loves to use his creativity to bring life to whatever ministry he is a part of. He enjoys studying God’s word together with others and finding ways to make what’s learned practical to everyday life.
Jared enjoys playing hockey, and the Braun family in general has a shared joy in watching hockey (Go Canucks!). Jared loves doing things outdoors although Jared’s energies have changed from ascending mountains to trying to get the tent trailer set up and a campfire started before the kids go crazy. Family relationships are the Braun’s biggest passions at this point in life.
We are here to worship and celebrate the glory of God and to enter a relationship with God and Jesus Christ, whom God has given to us to show us the way, the truth and the life, both now and forevermore. Our goal is to help you discover and grow in this relationship through teaching, building relationships, caring for one another and discovering your spiritual gifts. This way we all may be equipped to spread the good news of Jesus Christ and God’s love in our community and around the world.
If you know of someone who doesn’t have a Bible and would like to have one, please help yourself to a Bible which is available at the information center in the foyer.
